This Historic building is located just south of Ithaca in the quiet village of Newfield. This building boasts bow windows, hardwood floors and covered rear porches. On October 24, 1910, Col. Theodore Roosevelt spoke from the balcony of this building. This property features spacious one and two bedroom units.
"As I headed into my senior year at Ithaca College, I was looking for an affordable one-bedroom apartment that would give me some breathing room and allow me a quiet place in which to finish up my final year of school. I searched for apartments in Ithaca on Craig's List, but found nothing in the area that suited my needs and budget. 182 Main Street, Newfield, was the first property I viewed, and I liked it so much that I only looked at one more property before confirming that this was the property I wanted to rent. I was particularly impressed with Wayne; he was very personable and assured me that if I chose to rent from him that he would be a good landlord.
I have not had many issues with the apartment since moving in, but Wayne dealt with all of the issues that came up in a timely manner. In particular, he handled emergencies (i.e. heating and hot water problems) immediately, which I certainly appreciated. He is extremely proactive and like to be kept informed about his properties; I never feel as if I am bothering him when I contact him about something.
As the school year drew to a close, I made the decision to stay in the Ithaca area, and to be completely honest, one of the major factors I considered while making this decision was this: I knew I would not be able to find such an affordable, well-maintained apartment with such a great landlord elsewhere for the same price or less. I highly recommend both CNY Rentals and Wayne Woodward to anyone seeking a stress-free and affordable renting experience." Laura Henry
